A Description of Danny Carlton's Photo

This is a photo of a middle-aged man who appears to be sitting at a desk. He has a deeply receded hairline and a closely cropped beard, both of which are turning grey. He's wearing oval shaped spectacles, and a dark coloured polo shirt with the buttons fastened up. His arms are folded and used to lean on the desk in front of him. His facial expression is rather stern.

Behind the man to the left, there is a small window without curtains, although there may be a roller-blind barely visible at the top. The light coming through the window is an ultraviolet blue colour. On the wall surrounding the window is wallpaper with a sparse pattern, that could be twigs, or possibly sea birds.

To the right there is a filing cabinet, with what looks like a very small television set sitting on top of it. On a shelf just above the television, there are stacks of objects that appear to be CDs or DVDs.

The overall impression of this photograph, is of a man who is miserable and angry, sitting alone in a home office or study, attempting to show his displeasure to the camera.
